The Tourism Innovation Awards, part of the upcoming TIS2024 event in Seville, Spain, are set to honor the most groundbreaking projects in the tourism sector. Scheduled for October 23-25, the fifth edition of the Tourism Innovation Summit will showcase innovative, digital, and sustainable initiatives that are reshaping the industry.

Silvia Avilés, the director of TIS, emphasized the importance of recognizing innovation in tourism management. She stated, “We have more innovation, new business models, and digital tools that are transforming tourism management as we conceived it until now.” The awards aim to inspire industry professionals and organizations to think differently, streamline processes, and enhance the traveler experience.

The Tourism Innovation Awards 2024 will feature six categories, including Excellence in Customer Experience, Best Innovation in AI and Data Analytics, Digital Innovation Excellence, Sustainable Leadership, Emerging Business Model, and Diversity and Inclusion Excellence. These categories will highlight projects that have excelled in customer service, utilized AI and data analytics, leveraged digital tools, integrated sustainability practices, and promoted diversity and inclusion within the tourism sector.

The awards seek to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the global tourism community. By recognizing and celebrating innovative projects, the Tourism Innovation Awards aim to drive the industry towards a more sustainable, authentic, and memorable future for travelers worldwide.
