Canadian business tycoon facing allegations of serious sexual offenses: WARMINGTON

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Frank Stronach, the Canadian business legend, had a shocking end to his regular Friday when he was charged with serious criminal sex offenses dating back decades, including rape, indecent assault on a female, sexual assault x2, and forcible confinement. Peel Regional Police announced the charges, claiming they span from the 1980s to as recent as 2023. Stronach, 91, was charged but not taken into custody, released on a promise to appear in court.

The news of the charges stunned those close to the billionaire business tycoon, quickly spreading across the country and the United States, where he still conducts business. Stronach, the former Chair of Magna International, denied the allegations through his lawyer, Brian Greenspan, stating he looks forward to responding to the charges and maintaining his legacy as a philanthropist and Canadian business icon.

Despite the charges, Stronach voluntarily surrendered at Peel’s Special Victim’s Unit office with his counsel after having lunch with associates. He was arrested without incident, charged, and was described as “cordial” during the process. The investigation is ongoing, with police appealing to the public for any relevant information.

Stronach, known for his success in the auto parts business and the horse racing industry, is considered innocent until proven guilty. His first court appearance date has not been disclosed, and no restrictions have been placed on him as he awaits trial. Despite the legal issues, Stronach continues to invest in small business ventures and is working on developing a three-wheeled, electric micro car.
