A Canadian expat couple living in the U.K. has sparked a frenzy among Loch Ness monster believers after capturing a mysterious creature on camera during a recent trip to Scotland. Parry Malm and Shannon Wiseman, along with their two young children, were vacationing in Scotland when they decided to visit a body of water rumored to be the home of the legendary creature.
As they stood by the water on a cold April day, the couple spotted something moving through the waves. Malm described the creature as having its head craning above the water, larger than a Sasquatch but smaller than Ogopogo. Wiseman, originally from Calgary, snapped a picture of the blurry object while asking her sons if they thought it was Nessie.
Little did they know that their photo would soon make headlines in U.K. tabloids as the first Loch Ness monster sighting of 2024. The image was submitted to the Official Loch Ness Monsters Sightings Register, where it was confirmed as a legitimate sighting.
Despite their initial skepticism, Malm and Wiseman are enjoying the attention and the excitement it has brought to their children. While they acknowledge that there may be a logical explanation for what they saw, they are not ruling out the possibility of encountering an unexplained species.
For Wiseman, the experience has been about sharing a magical moment with her kids and embracing the wonder of the unknown. As Malm puts it, the sighting has reaffirmed his belief that there are still mysteries in the world waiting to be discovered.
