Candace Cameron Bure’s Near-Death Experience While Zip Lining on the Set of ‘Fuller House’ – Hollywood Life

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role as D.J. Tanner on “Fuller House,” recently shared a terrifying experience she had while filming a stunt for the show. During a podcast episode with her former co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, Candace recounted a zip lining incident that almost turned fatal.

The 48-year-old actress explained how she was supposed to zip line diagonally across the living room and land on a platform as part of an American Ninja Warrior course scene. However, during rehearsal, the rig was not set up correctly, and there was no safety stop at the end of it.

“When I landed off the zip line and stopped, the whole mechanism slid right off the track and came right next to my head within an inch,” Candace shared. She emphasized that if she had shifted her weight even slightly, it could have resulted in a serious injury.

The stunt coordinator was fired following the incident, and the director decided to scrap the stunt altogether. Despite the traumatic experience, Candace expressed her love for working on “Fuller House.”

The spinoff series came to an end in 2020 after five successful seasons. Fans have expressed interest in another spinoff, but with the passing of original cast member Bob Saget in 2022, the future of the show remains uncertain.

Jodie Sweetin also mentioned in a previous interview with Hollywood Life that while she would be open to working on another project, the absence of Bob Saget would make it challenging to recreate the magic of the original series. The possibility of a new “Full House” series without Danny Tanner remains a topic of discussion among fans and cast members.
