The Vancouver Canucks staged an incredible comeback to defeat the Nashville Predators 4-3 in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series on Sunday. Elias Lindholm scored the game-winning goal just 1:02 into overtime, giving the Canucks a commanding 3-1 series lead.

The game started with Brock Boeser opening the scoring for Vancouver, but the Predators quickly responded with goals from Mark Jankowski, Gustav Nyquist, and Filip Forsberg to take a 3-1 lead. However, Boeser came to the rescue with two late goals in the third period to tie the game, with J.T. Miller contributing three assists.

Injuries plagued both teams throughout the game, with players like Roman Josi, Quinn Hughes, and Tyler Myers all suffering various injuries but managing to return to the ice. Vancouver’s Arturs Silovs, making his first NHL playoff appearance, stood tall in net with 27 saves.

The Canucks had to rely on Silovs in goal after injuries to both Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith, who were unavailable for Game 4. Demko, who backstopped Vancouver to a win in Game 1, is considered week to week with an undisclosed injury.

The series now shifts back to Vancouver for Game 5 on Tuesday, where the Canucks will look to close out the series and advance to the next round. Both teams will be looking to make adjustments and come out strong in what promises to be an intense matchup.
