Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a series of unusual events, the Grass Valley Police Department received multiple reports throughout the day that kept officers on their toes.

In the early hours of the morning, a 911 caller reported hearing possible screams for help near Scandling Ave and Idaho Maryland Road. Upon investigation, the caller found a group of individuals below an overpass who told him to go away. The group was seen moving around trucks and a van parked nearby, raising suspicions.

Later in the day, a subject at GVPD reported that someone threatened to take away his jet skis, adding a touch of drama to the day’s events. Additionally, there was a report of illegal dumping on Centennial Drive and an incident where an ex threw something at a vehicle on Highway 20 Ramp.

One of the more bizarre reports was of a male subject building a cardboard fort behind a store, with the reporting party expressing concern about approaching him due to his violent behavior. Another report involved two motorbikes similar to Harley Davidsons driving on Mill Street where traffic was not allowed, adding a rebellious twist to the day.

Meanwhile, in Nevada City, a market reported the theft of $18 for water, and trespassing was reported when a neighbor opened the door without knocking. The day ended with a vehicle stop on Broad Street resulting in an arrest.

Overall, it was a day filled with strange and unexpected incidents for law enforcement in Grass Valley and Nevada City.
