Olivia Jenkins, a 27-year-old entrepreneur from Cardiff, has achieved a remarkable milestone by making it onto the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2024 list. Her jewelry brand, D. Louise, which she co-founded with her boyfriend, Jack Zambakidesco, has been recognized as one of the rising stars in the industry.

The name of Olivia’s brand, D. Louise, is a tribute to her late mother, Deborah Louise, who passed away from cancer in 2017. Olivia credits her mother’s memory as a source of inspiration and motivation for the success of her business. She expressed her disbelief and gratitude at being included in the Forbes list, stating, “I feel like I need to pinch myself.”

Since its inception in 2021, D. Louise has seen significant success, selling over 350,000 items ranging from gold earrings to chain necklaces. The company is projected to generate revenue exceeding £9.2 million this year and is planning to expand by opening high street shops, with Cardiff likely being the first location.

Despite the challenges of starting a small business and growing it into an eight-figure enterprise, Olivia remains determined and encourages others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Another Welsh entrepreneur, Dr. Sioned Fôn Jones, also made the Forbes list for her biotech start-up, BoobyBiome, which focuses on developing formula supplements from breast milk to improve infant health.

Both Olivia and Dr. Jones serve as inspiring examples of young entrepreneurs making a significant impact in their respective industries, showcasing the potential for success and innovation in the business world.
