The Wesleyan women’s tennis team is on fire as they head into the NESCAC Tournament for the ninth consecutive year. With a perfect 15-0 record in the regular season, the Cardinals are the team to beat as they aim for another championship title.

In their final regular-season match against Connecticut College, the Cardinals dominated with a 9-0 victory. Senior Day was extra special as Caitlyn Ferrante ’24, a standout player with 24 wins this season, led the team to victory alongside her partner Sarah Youngberg. Ferrante’s impressive career includes 101 total wins, ranking her fifth all-time in the school’s history.

The doubles matches were a clean sweep for Wesleyan, with Renna Mohsen-Breen ’25 and Lane Durkin ’27 finishing their undefeated season with a win. In singles play, Mohsen-Breen continued her unbeaten streak with a 15-0 record, securing her 103rd career win.

The rest of the team followed suit, with Youngberg, Leila Epstein ’26, Jackie Soloveychik ’27, and Durkin all securing wins in their respective matches. Ferrante sealed the deal with a final victory, cementing her legacy as a Cardinal.

With the NESCAC Tournament on the horizon, the Cardinals are gearing up for more success on the courts. The action kicks off on Friday, May 3, at the John Wood Memorial Courts, where Wesleyan will look to continue their winning streak and claim another championship title.
