Caroline Stanbury, star of “The Real Housewives of Dubai,” recently opened up about her weight loss journey on her podcast, “Uncut & Uncensored With Caroline Stanbury.” The 48-year-old reality TV personality revealed that she used Ozempic during a “midlife crisis” she experienced at 45.
In the podcast episode, Caroline shared, “After 40, we all know it’s very, very hard to lose weight. But I met so many 40-year-old women going, ‘How have you done it?’ And I don’t want to lie to you. I used Ozempic, which I think is one of the best tools if you’re able to use it.”
While she didn’t disclose the exact amount of weight she lost, Caroline expressed her happiness with her current state. She also discussed her health and wellness journey with her husband, Sergio Carrallo, who praised her for finding balance in her life.
This isn’t the first time Caroline has spoken about her experience with Ozempic. In September 2023, she revealed that she used the drug after her IVF process caused her to gain weight. She emphasized that there should be no shame in using medication to achieve desired results.
Although Ozempic is primarily used to lower blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes, it has also been effective in aiding weight loss. The FDA has approved the drug to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death in adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease.
Fans can catch Caroline Stanbury on the upcoming season 2 of “Real Housewives of Dubai,” premiering on Bravo on June 2. In the meantime, old episodes are available for streaming on Peacock.
