Cathay Pacific Airways, a leading airline in Asia, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Siam Piwat Group, a prominent retail developer in Thailand. This collaboration allows overseas Cathay members to convert their ONESIAM Coins to Asia Miles, providing them with a wider range of rewards in shopping and travel.
Travellers from selected countries can now seamlessly convert their ONESIAM Coins to Asia Miles, regardless of their location, offering them more flexibility and benefits. This partnership, initially launched in August 2023, was previously available only to members in Thailand. However, Cathay’s decision to extend this initiative to overseas members reflects its commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its loyal customers.
The partnership with Siam Piwat Group covers four popular shopping malls in Thailand under the Siam Piwat Group umbrella, including ICONSIAM, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, and Siam Discovery. Cathay members can now enjoy exclusive mall benefits and privileges through the ONESIAM SuperApp, such as discount codes, bonus points, and tourist privileges. These benefits are available until July 31, 2024, or for the first 10,000 redemptions, providing members with ample opportunities to maximize their rewards.
In addition to shopping and dining perks, ONESIAM Members can convert their ONESIAM Coins to Asia Miles, which can be used for various travel rewards, including flights, hotel stays, and more. With Cathay’s extensive network of over 800 partners worldwide, members can explore a wide range of lifestyle and travel options using their Asia Miles.
Dominic Perret, Cathay’s Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia, expressed his excitement about extending this initiative to overseas members, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to enhancing its offerings and adding value to its members’ lives. He highlighted the convenience and flexibility of the two-way points conversion, which allows members to enjoy exclusive benefits in Bangkok and access curated products and experiences worldwide.
Recognizing Thailand’s popularity in Southeast Asia, Cathay is collaborating with local payment partners to make it easier for members to earn Asia Miles in their daily activities. More details about these partnerships will be announced in the future, further enhancing the benefits for Cathay members.
Apart from its collaboration with Siam Piwat Group, Cathay has established partnerships with various shopping partners worldwide, offering members the opportunity to earn and use Asia Miles locally and internationally. These partnerships include Mitsui Outlet Park in Taiwan, China, and Japan, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Taichung in Taiwan, China, Shinsegae Duty Free in South Korea, and The Bicester Collection in Europe and the Chinese Mainland.
Overall, Cathay’s expanded partnership with Siam Piwat Group signifies its commitment to providing members with enhanced rewards and benefits, both in their travel experiences and shopping activities. By offering seamless points conversion and a wide range of lifestyle options, Cathay aims to elevate the overall travel experience for its members, making every journey more rewarding and memorable.
