CCCTC Adult Education Department Celebrates Graduates | Latest News, Sports, and Job Opportunities

The Columbiana County Career & Technical Center’s Adult Education Department recently celebrated the graduation of 43 LPN-RN Bridge students. These students have completed a rigorous one-year program that has prepared them to take their registered nursing state boards.

Among the graduates, Paris Blankenship and Renee VanDyke stood out for their Academic Excellence, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in the program. Jaymie Martin received the prestigious Florence Nightingale Award for demonstrating exceptional caring and nursing ethics both in class and clinical settings. Kandis Patterson was recognized with the Professionalism Award for her excellence in patient care.

The graduation ceremony was a momentous occasion, with CCCTC Superintendent Willard Adkins and Assistant Adult Education Director Terry Hutson presenting the diplomas to the graduates. Dr. Kelly Darney, the Adult Education Director, delivered an inspiring graduation address titled “Unintended Consequences.”

The event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of these students as they transition from licensed practical nurses to registered nurses. The future looks bright for these graduates as they embark on their careers in the healthcare field.

Overall, the graduation ceremony was a celebration of achievement and a reminder of the impact these individuals will have in their communities as they continue their journey in the nursing profession.
