The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is set to welcome its new president, Kaye Tinga, a prominent businesswoman and philanthropist. Tinga, known for her advocacy of Filipino design talents through the Red Charity Gala, will assume office on June 1, 2024, following her election during the CCP Board of Trustees meeting on May 15, 2024.
Tinga’s appointment to the Board came from Malacañang Palace in April 2024, succeeding Michelle Nikki Junia. With a background in business economics and an MBA, Tinga is the co-founder of W/17, a brand that promotes local artisans and economic development through collaborations with craftsmen across the Philippines.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Tinga is dedicated to nurturing creative talents and serves as a board member of MINT College, known for its innovative programs. Married to former Taguig Mayor and Congressman Freddie Tinga, she successfully balances her family life with her interests in design and travel.
The CCP Board of Trustees, chaired by Dr. Jaime C. Laya, includes notable figures such as Margie Moran Floirendo and Carissa Oledan Coscolluela.
