Celebrate Charm City during National Travel and Tourism Week

National Travel and Tourism Week kicks off this Sunday, and Maryland is gearing up for a week full of exciting events and celebrations. From May 19-25, the Maryland Tourism Coalition will be partnering with local and state organizations to showcase all that the state has to offer.

One of the highlights of the week is the NTTW Proclamation Reading at the Baltimore Convention Center on May 20. The governor will proclaim Maryland Travel and Tourism Week, emphasizing the importance of the travel industry in the state’s economy. Following the proclamation, there will be a Kick Off Event at the Convention Center, featuring presentations and tours highlighting the heart of Maryland’s tourism industry.

On May 21, Maryland’s Coast will host a Proclamation Reading in Worcester County, recognizing National Travel & Tourism Week. Additionally, the Women of Hospitality Conference will take place at the American Visionary Art Museum, offering a day of discussion and empowerment for women in the hospitality industry.

The festivities continue on May 22 with the MTC Spring Seminar at the Dorchester Center for the Arts, focusing on events from Maryland’s Civil Rights Movement. The day will include lunch and a walking tour of downtown Cambridge.
