Celebrities Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh, and Fardeen Khan Pay Respects at Filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan’s Funeral

The Indian film industry mourned the loss of veteran filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan, who passed away in Mumbai on May 8. Family members and celebrities gathered at the Oshiwara Crematorium to bid an emotional farewell to the director.

Among those who attended the last rites were Anupam Kher, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor, and Zayed Khan. Sangeeth Sivan, known for films like ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’, was undergoing treatment for a urinary infection at Kokilaben Hospital when he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest.

The news of his untimely demise left many in shock, with actors like Anupam Kher, Sunny Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, and Tusshar Kapoor taking to social media to pay their respects. Anupam Kher remembered Sangeeth as a great director and a wonderful human being, while Sunny Deol expressed disbelief at the loss of his dear friend.

Riteish Deshmukh, in his tribute, praised Sangeeth Sivan for believing in newcomers and giving them opportunities in the industry. Tusshar Kapoor, who was introduced to comedy by Sangeeth, expressed his deep sorrow at the news.

Sangeeth Sivan’s legacy in the film industry includes blockbuster films like ‘Yodha’, ‘Gandharvam’, and ‘Nirnayam’, starring the legendary actor Mohanlal. His contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered and cherished by fans and colleagues alike.
