Celine Dion’s sister Claudette has provided an emotional update on the singer’s well-being as the release of the Amazon Prime Video documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, approaches. In an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Claudette shared that Celine is “doing well” and has even started singing again after being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in December 2022.

“We had a little Zoom; we were all talking and she said to us – do you want me to sing to you? She sang a little song,” Claudette revealed. “She’s doing well. Celine deserves it, she’s given more than she’s taken in life.”

The 102-minute documentary, set to be released on June 25, promises an intimate look into Celine’s battle with the rare neurological disorder over the past year and a half. It will also feature behind-the-scenes footage of her in the recording studio, glimpses of her couture touring wardrobe, and a more personal look at her family life.

Celine herself shared a message with fans about the documentary, expressing her journey of learning to live with and manage her condition while not letting it define her. She hopes to raise awareness of stiff person syndrome and help others who share the diagnosis.

Fans can expect a raw and honest portrayal of the iconic superstar’s struggles and resilience in I Am: Celine Dion, directed by Academy Award nominee Irene Taylor. The documentary is described as an “emotional, energetic, and poetic love letter to music,” showcasing the power of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
