CEO Krithivasan announces that TCS has one of the largest AI-ready workforces in the world

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is leading the way in preparing its workforce for the future of artificial intelligence (AI), with 300,000 employees trained in basic foundational AI skills. The company’s managing director and CEO, K Krithivasan, praised the employees for their dedication to learning and skilling themselves in AI, which has resulted in TCS building one of the largest and most AI-ready workforces in the world.

In an email to employees at the end of Financial Year 2024, Krithivasan highlighted the company’s success in AI initiatives, including over 200 engagements in GenAI with clients and a promising pipeline of future work across all industries. TCS has also engaged with 11,000 clients at more than 200 events, discussing deepening partnerships and collaborative work on AI.

During the fourth quarter FY24 results media briefing, TCS announced that it has doubled its AI and GenAI deal pipeline to $900 million. Krithivasan also mentioned the recent TCS Blitz in Abu Dhabi, where initiatives were discussed to revitalize the company for the future.

The retirement of chief operating officer N G Subramaniam was also addressed, with Krithivasan praising Subramaniam for his relentless client centricity and invaluable service to the company over four decades. TCS employees have benefited from Subramaniam’s mentorship and leadership, with Krithivasan acknowledging his immeasurable contributions to the organization.
