Chad: First Round of Presidential Elections Concluded

The first round of presidential elections in Chad concluded yesterday, marking a significant moment in the country’s political landscape. Following the death of President Idriss Déby Itno, who was killed by rebels in April 2021, his son, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, assumed the role of interim president.
