Challenges and Opportunities Faced by Women in the Business World

The Bangor Public Library and SCORE Northern Maine are teaming up to host a special event focused on women in business. Sarah Guerette, director of CEI Women’s Business Center, will lead a discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing women entrepreneurs in today’s business world.

The session will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Board Room at the Bangor Public Library. Attendees can also join virtually via Zoom, with masks required for in-person attendance. The event is free of charge, but space is limited, so advance registration is required.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the resources available for women in business, hear from established businesswomen, and engage in a dialogue about the current state of woman-owned businesses in 2022. The CEI Women’s Business Center is dedicated to supporting women who want to start or grow their own businesses in Maine, providing resources, courses, workshops, and 1:1 business advising support.
