The Albany Patroons dominated the Jamestown Jackals in a high-scoring game on Friday night, coming out on top with a 119-107 victory in The Basketball League action at Jamestown Community College’s Physical Education Complex. The dynamic duo of Edward Dyson III and Arsenio Arrington led the way for Albany, combining for an impressive 60 points on 24-of-37 shooting.

Dyson poured in 35 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Arrington added 25 points and four blocked shots, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive presence on the court. Jamestown struggled to contain the Albany duo, with head coach Raheem Singleton acknowledging the team’s difficulty in matching their physicality.

Despite a strong performance from David Jasson, who scored 21 points off the bench for Jamestown, the Jackals were unable to overcome the Patroons’ offensive firepower. Derrick Colter, the team’s leading scorer, was held to just 13 points in the game, as Albany’s defense proved to be a tough challenge.

Albany controlled the game for most of the night, leading for over 22 minutes in the first half and maintaining their advantage through the second half. The Patroons’ efficient shooting, strong rebounding, and ability to capitalize on turnovers ultimately sealed the win for them.

Jamestown will look to bounce back from this loss as they prepare to face the Kitchener Waterloo Titans in a nonleague game. With a tough schedule ahead, including matchups against the Glass City Wranglers and Tri-State Admirals, the Jackals will need to regroup and refocus in order to turn their season around.
