John Henry Jackson has been appointed as the new director of the U.S. Commercial Service New Orleans, bringing with him years of experience in international trade promotion. The U.S. Commercial Service, a branch of the U.S. Department of Commerce, facilitates connections between American companies and international buyers.

Jackson, who previously served as a senior international specialist in the New Orleans office, also has a background working with the Mississippi Development Authority. His educational credentials include a bachelor’s degree in Japanese and international business from Georgetown University, as well as a master certificate in global oil and gas management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
