In a thrilling nonconference baseball game at Johnson Park in New Ulm, Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Bradyn Kube delivered a stellar performance on the mound to lead the Chargers to a 4-0 shutout victory over Sibley East.
Kube dominated the Wolverines, allowing just four hits in 6 1/3 innings of work while striking out eight batters. He did not issue a single walk and set down 12 straight Sibley East hitters at one point in the game.
On the offensive side, the Chargers broke the game open with a three-run fifth inning. Connor Bode led the charge with three hits on the day, including a key RBI single in the fifth inning. The Chargers capitalized on some Sibley East errors to push across runs and secure the win.
MVL head coach Jim Buboltz praised Kube’s performance, highlighting his pitching prowess and ability to keep the team ahead in the game. Buboltz also commended the team’s overall effort and timely hitting that led to the victory.
