China’s dominance in badminton was on full display as both the men’s and women’s teams secured victories in the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup finals, respectively. The Chinese men’s team reclaimed the Thomas Cup title after a six-year gap, while the women’s team won the Uber Cup for the 16th time.

In the men’s competition, China’s Shi Yu Qi led the charge with a convincing win over Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in the opening rubber. Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang followed suit with a hard-fought victory in the doubles, putting China 2-0 ahead. Although Jonatan Christie managed to secure a win for Indonesia, it was not enough to stop China’s march towards their 11th Thomas Cup title.

On the women’s side, the Chinese team was even more dominant, blanking Indonesia 3-0 to claim the Uber Cup title. Olympic champion Chen Yu Fei set the tone with a commanding win, followed by Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan extending China’s lead in the doubles. He Bing Jiao sealed the victory with a hard-fought win, securing China’s 16th Uber Cup title.

Reflecting on the victory, He Bing Jiao expressed her happiness at regaining the title after experiencing failures in the past. The Chinese team’s relentless performance, with 24 straight wins throughout the tournament, showcased their determination and skill on the badminton court.
