The virus, commonly transmitted through fecal-oral contact, left the actress dealing with severe symptoms, including “pissing out of my ass for a few days,” as she colorfully described it.

Applegate, who also struggles with multiple sclerosis, revealed that her health ordeal began when someone close to her brought home COVID-19, leading to her contracting the virus for the first time. Due to her compromised immune system, she experienced more severe symptoms, including a chest infection and a racing heart rate.

After taking a stool test and being diagnosed with sapovirus, Applegate humorously shared her experience of ingesting someone else’s fecal matter unknowingly. She believes she caught the virus from a takeout salad from a restaurant that was about to close down for unrelated reasons.

Despite her illness and struggles with MS, Applegate maintained her sense of humor, even joking about the design of adult diapers for women. Through her ordeal, she has formed some serious opinions about the aesthetics of adult diapers, questioning why they are made to look attractive for women.
