Christina Ricci Teases Intense Season 3 of ‘Yellowjackets’

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Christina Ricci, known for her role in Showtime’s “Yellowjackets,” recently spoke out about the shocking season two finale and teased what fans can expect in the upcoming season three. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Ricci revealed that a few episodes for the new season, set to premiere in early 2025, have already been filmed in Canada.

Describing the upcoming season as even more shocking and surprising than its predecessors, Ricci hinted at a mix of brutality and comedy that will make it “extremely Yellowjackets-y.” She also expressed how the cast, who she describes as “like sisters,” already misses Juliette Lewis, whose character was killed off in the finale.

Reflecting on her character Misty’s actions in the finale, Ricci shared that Misty is a survivor who can forgive herself for her past deeds. She also discussed the challenges of working on a TV show where the cast is kept in the dark about future storylines, unlike in film where the entire story is known from the start.

In addition to her role in “Yellowjackets,” Ricci is also involved in other projects, including the Netflix series “Wednesday,” where she plays a different role than the one she portrayed 32 years ago. She also stars in a short film alongside Chris Hemsworth, Ken Jeong, and Auli’i Cravalho to celebrate the launch of the mobile game “Squadbusters.”

Despite the uncertainties of her character’s future in “Yellowjackets,” Ricci remains excited about the opportunities to work with talented actors and creators in various projects, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft.
