Cisco, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and other companies collaborate to train and retrain 95 million IT professionals in AI.

In a groundbreaking move, tech giants Cisco, Accenture, Eightfold, Google, IBM, Indeed, Intel, Microsoft, and SAP have joined forces to launch the AI-Enabled Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Workforce Consortium. This consortium aims to address the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on jobs in the ICT sector and prepare workers for the changing landscape.

The Consortium’s first task is to analyze 56 key ICT job roles, which are among the most advertised positions in the US and major European countries. Based on this analysis, they will recommend training programs to help workers adapt to the AI era.

They plan to develop training programs that are accessible to various stakeholders, including students, career changers, current IT professionals, businesses, and educators.
