Cobb Middle Schools and High Schools Recognized as Top Performers in Georgia

Cobb County Schools Shine in U.S. News Rankings

Cobb County schools have once again proven their excellence, with several high schools and middle schools ranking among the best in Georgia, according to the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings.

Dickerson Middle School claimed the coveted #1 spot for Georgia middle schools, with Dodgen Middle School not far behind at #3. In total, Cobb County is home to four of the top 25 middle schools in the state, including Mabry Middle School and Hightower Trail Middle School.

Additionally, a total of 12 Cobb County middle schools made it into the top 100 in Georgia, showcasing the district’s commitment to providing high-quality education for all students.

Board Chair Randy Scamihorn expressed his pride in the rankings, stating, “Cobb is one of the best places in the country to raise a family, thanks to the quality of our teachers and schools.”

On the high school front, three Cobb County high schools made it into the top 25 in Georgia, with Walton High School leading the pack at #4. In total, 11 Cobb County high schools were ranked in the top 100 in the state, highlighting the district’s dedication to academic excellence.

Notably, six Cobb County high schools were recognized nationally, ranking among the top 6% of public high schools in the country. Walton High School also received recognition for its excellence in STEM education, further solidifying Cobb County’s reputation for providing top-tier education for students.
