Colin Wegenast, a dedicated member of the Jamestown Mystics group, has been actively involved in fundraising for children’s causes since 2017. Wegenast, who describes the group as a bunch of Shriners having fun while helping kids, has put in countless hours to support various events organized by the Mystics.

One of the highlights of Wegenast’s involvement with the Mystics is the annual Fishing for a Cause event, where kids enjoy activities like face painting and a free fishing tournament. Wegenast, along with other members and their spouses, dedicate a full day’s worth of work to make the event a success.

In addition to organizing fundraising events, Wegenast and his fellow Mystics also maintain the Christmas lights on Mill Hill year-round. Despite the rising costs, Wegenast ensures that the lights are in top condition, creating a beautiful sight for the community to enjoy.

Wegenast’s commitment to the Mystics and their philanthropic efforts is unwavering, as he continues to advocate for community support and involvement. He believes that the organization provides a unique opportunity for individuals to come together, have fun, and make a difference in the lives of children.

As the 43rd annual El Zagal Mystics Fish Fry approaches, Wegenast looks forward to another successful event and hopes that the club will continue to thrive in Jamestown. With his passion for helping others and dedication to the cause, Wegenast serves as an inspiration to his fellow members and the community at large.
