Collaboration between academics and entrepreneurs is crucial for national development

Academics and entrepreneurs have emphasized the importance of collaboration for national development during a seminar titled “Industry-Academia Motivational Speech” held at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET).

The event, organized by the Students Welfare Office and Research and Extension Office of RUET, brought together industrialists and academics to discuss the crucial role they play in bolstering the country’s economy and strengthening the industrial sector.

RUET Vice-chancellor Prof Jahangir Alam highlighted the significance of academia-industry collaboration in boosting employment generation and industrial production. He stressed the need for skilled human resources to build a smart Bangladesh as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Chairman of PHP Group of Industries Sufi Muhammad Mijanur Rahman echoed Prof Alam’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of building competent workforces for Bangladesh’s fourth industrial revolution. He underscored the need for industry experts and academia to work together to achieve this goal.

The speakers at the seminar emphasized the interrelation between universities, industry, and entrepreneurs, highlighting their pivotal roles in advancing the country and the nation. They called for a united effort to harness the potential of skilled students and empower them to lead in building a smart Bangladesh.

The event concluded with a consensus on the vital role of collaboration and coordination between academics and entrepreneurs in driving national development and achieving sustainable growth. The participants pledged to continue working together towards this common goal.
