Ferrovial, a global infrastructure operator, has partnered with U.S. technology consulting firm DXC Technology to launch the Quercus platform, aimed at accelerating the adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) across its businesses and assets. This collaboration will revolutionize the way technology solutions are developed and applied in the field of AI.

Quercus, based on a Ferrovial Generative AI project, consists of a set of technology components and business logic to scale the use of AI and build stable, fast, and effective solutions for companies across various industries. The platform includes technical components for data security, privacy, system integration, and coordination between different AI models.

The first version of Quercus has already enabled Ferrovial to offer a marketplace of Generative AI solutions, including an assistant for common tasks that can be utilized by employees or specialists in Human Resources and Cybersecurity. This technology will optimize processes, generate designs, simplify applications for worker health and safety, and improve overall operations.

DXC Technology will drive the evolution, maintenance, and commercialization of the platform for third parties from its AI Centre of Excellence in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, supported by Microsoft technology. Microsoft’s strategic relationship with both Ferrovial and DXC will ensure the platform’s expansion and versatility, benefiting other companies that choose to use it.

The collaboration between Ferrovial, DXC Technology, and Microsoft marks a significant milestone in advancing AI-supported business services. This partnership will provide customers with the tools to accelerate innovation, improve profitability, and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
