Alibaba Cloud Partners with Global Education Institutions to Foster AI Talent

In a bid to address the increasing demand for professionals in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence arm of Alibaba Group, has embarked on a mission to collaborate with educational institutions worldwide to nurture the next generation of AI professionals.

During the Alibaba Cloud Global Summit in Paris, Selina Yuan, the president of international business Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing AI. With the rapid growth of AI across all sectors, Alibaba Cloud has pledged to increase investment in AI infrastructure and enhance cloud capabilities in global markets. This initiative not only focuses on physical infrastructure but also on developing individuals with AI expertise.

Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to establish its first cloud region in Mexico, with additional data centers in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea over the next three years. The expansion aims to bolster the company’s cloud and AI product portfolio, forge global partnerships, and cultivate AI talent.

Education plays a crucial role in talent development, and Alibaba Cloud has partnered with various universities worldwide to integrate cloud computing and AI courses into their curriculum. By collaborating with institutions like the University of Reading, Singapore University of Social Sciences, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Alibaba Cloud aims to nurture a new generation of AI specialists who can contribute to the field’s growth.

Furthermore, Alibaba Cloud is investing in generative AI development, with the upcoming release of Model Studio, a platform that allows enterprises and developers to build custom AI applications using Alibaba Cloud’s resources.

Alibaba Cloud Academy has also introduced the Alibaba Cloud Certified Associate (ACA) Generative AI Engineer Course to train individuals in generative AI technology. By investing in digital talent development, Alibaba Cloud is paving the way for a future where AI powers innovation and progress in the digital world.
