Colorado Springs has been named the third-best place to live in the United States for 2024-25, according to U.S. News & World Report. The city jumped six spots from its previous ranking to claim the top spot, trailing only Naples, Florida, and Boise, Idaho.

Mayor Yemi Mobolade expressed pride in the city’s ranking, stating that Colorado Springs is indisputably one of the best places to live in the country. Erika Giovanetti, a U.S. News reporter, highlighted the city’s balance of desirability, quality of life, job market, and value as key factors in its high ranking. Despite being ranked 35th in housing affordability, Colorado Springs was praised for its careful balance of desirability and value.

Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, president and CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce & EDC, credited economic factors such as rising median wages and job growth for the city’s appeal. Quality of life additions, such as new entertainment options, also contribute to making Colorado Springs attractive to young adults.
