Columbian President Blames US for Iran’s Attack on Israel, Calls it a Prelude to World War 3: Global Leaders React

Iran’s direct military attack on Israel has sparked a wave of tensions in the Middle East, drawing condemnation from world leaders and the United Nations. The attack, carried out by Iran through suicide drones and missiles, has raised concerns about further destabilization in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in response to the attack, emphasized Israel’s readiness to defend itself, stating, “Our defensive systems are deployed; we are ready for any scenario, both defensively and offensively.” He also expressed gratitude for the support of the United States, Britain, France, and other allies, reaffirming Israel’s commitment to self-defense.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) justified the attack as a response to Israeli aggression against its diplomatic premises in Damascus. The IRGC warned the US to stay away from the conflict, threatening a more severe response if Israel makes another mistake.

US President Joe Biden, who cut short his weekend getaway to address the situation, reiterated the US’s unwavering support for Israel. He promised “ironclad” support and held urgent meetings with security officials to discuss the escalating tensions.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro took a bold stance, blaming US policies for fueling the conflict and calling for urgent UN intervention to restore peace. Meanwhile, Argentina’s President Javier Milei expressed solidarity with Israel and condemned Iran’s attacks as a threat to global stability.

The European Union’s foreign affairs chief, Josep Borrell, described the strikes as a “serious threat to regional security,” highlighting the urgent need for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions to prevent further conflict in the Middle East.
