Concerns raised by Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma and others over subpar facilities at T20 World Cup; ICC issues response

The Indian cricket team has begun its preparations for the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA, following their disappointment in the ODI World Cup 2023. After losing to Australia in the final, the team, led by Rohit Sharma, is eager for redemption. India’s last ICC trophy was the 2013 Champions Trophy under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, and they are determined to end their drought.

However, reports have surfaced claiming that the team is unhappy with the practice facilities provided in the USA. The makeshift pitches and other facilities at Cantiague Park have been described as “average” by a source, with coach Rahul Dravid expressing his dissatisfaction. The team has reportedly raised their concerns with the ICC.

Despite the challenges, the Indian team has started their training sessions, with Virat Kohli expected to join the squad soon. The players are adjusting to the morning conditions in the USA, where temperatures are cooler compared to the Indian summer. The support staff is helping the players acclimatize to the conditions before moving on to skills training.

With the T20 World Cup approaching, the Indian team is focused on overcoming the obstacles and putting up a strong performance. The players are determined to make the most of this opportunity and bring home the coveted trophy. Stay tuned for more updates on India’s journey in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
