Continuing the Family Legacy: News, Sports, and Jobs

Ben Pearson, a senior at Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers, has made a significant decision for his future. The talented athlete will be attending Martin Luther College in the fall, where he will continue his academic and athletic career by playing both basketball and golf for the Knights.

What makes this decision even more special is that Ben Pearson will be following in the footsteps of his family members who have attended MLC. In fact, he will become a fifth-generation student at the school, with a long lineage of family members who have excelled in sports and academics at MLC.

Ben Pearson’s parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents have all been part of the MLC community, making his decision to attend the college a deeply rooted family tradition. With his mom being an All-Conference and All-American basketball player and his dad excelling in golf and football, Ben Pearson has big shoes to fill.

Despite the pressure of living up to his family’s legacy, Ben Pearson is excited about the opportunity to continue his athletic career at MLC. He will be playing under the coaching of Greg Holzhueter, another MVL grad, and is looking forward to teaming up with talented players like Tom Balge and Ben Vasold.
