Cooper Flagg Leads Montverde Academy to High School National Championship

Cooper Flagg, the top recruit in the Class of 2024, achieved his goal of winning the high school national championship before heading off to Duke in the fall. Flagg led Montverde Academy to a 79-63 victory over Paul VI in the Chipotle Nationals Championship, showcasing his skills on both ends of the court.

In the title game, Flagg scored 16 points on efficient shooting and made a significant impact on defense. He grabbed eight rebounds and blocked six shots, helping to slow down top recruits like Darren Harris and Patrick Ngongba. One highlight of the game was Flagg’s impressive block on a 3-pointer followed by a thunderous dunk in transition.

This win marked the end of an impressive high school career for Flagg, who was named the MVP of the tournament. Montverde finished the season undefeated at 33-0, with Flagg playing a key role in their success.
