Visit Colorado Springs Celebrates National Travel and Tourism Week

COLORADO SPRINGS – Visit Colorado Springs (Visit COS) is gearing up to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) from May 19-25 with a series of activities and giveaways aimed at promoting the sustainability and accessibility of tourism in the area.

Partnering with the U.S. Travel Association for this annual awareness campaign, Visit COS aims to highlight the positive impact of tourism and travel on communities. From economic growth to personal well-being, travel has significant benefits not only for travelers but also for locals.

President & CEO of Visit COS, Doug Price, emphasized the importance of tourism in the state of Colorado, stating that it is the fourth largest employment sector and plays a crucial role in stimulating economic growth, creating job opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

The Pikes Peak Region, known for its abundant sunshine, stunning views, and vibrant entertainment districts, attracts visitors from all over the world. NTTW serves as a reminder to locals of the vital role that tourism plays in boosting the local economy and keeping dollars within the community.

“This is the 41st year of National Travel and Tourism Week in the United States. Here in Colorado Springs, it’s a great opportunity for us to remind our residents of the important role visitors play in the quality of life we enjoy here,” said Price.

Throughout the week, Visit COS will be hosting various activities and giveaways on their social media channels. Residents are encouraged to follow @VisitCOS on Instagram or Visit Colorado Springs on Facebook for more information.
