The baseball season in Ohio is heating up as the OHSAA Regional Semifinals are set to take place today, featuring some of the top teams in the state. Among them are St. Clairsville and Indian Creek, who will face off in a Division II matchup at Mazeroski Field in Cadiz.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two teams this season, with St. Clairsville coming out on top in the previous three games. Indian Creek head coach Mike Cottis acknowledges the tough competition, praising St. Clairsville’s strong lineup and veteran players.

On the other hand, St. Clairsville head coach Tom Sliva recognizes Indian Creek as one of the best teams they have faced all season. Both teams have players named to the All-Eastern District team, showcasing the talent on both sides.

For Indian Creek, this season has been historic as they make their first-ever appearance in the regional tournament. The team’s hard work and dedication have paid off, leading them to this milestone moment.

In Division III, the Barnesville Shamrocks are also making waves as they prepare to face Minford in a rematch of the regional championship game from the previous season. Barnesville head coach DJ Butler acknowledges the challenge ahead but believes in his team’s determination and grit.
