The city of Ahmedabad is all set to witness the maiden Cricket Premier League 2024, aimed at promoting cricketing talent from Gujarat. Scheduled to be held from May 19 to June 2, the tournament will feature six participating franchises, each comprising Ranji players from the state and other domestic competitions.
The brainchild behind this exciting initiative is former MP and former president of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), Narhari Amin, who envisions the league to become one of the best in India in the coming years. With the support of GCA, Amin is determined to make this tournament a grand success.
The participating franchises include Sabarmati Strikers, owned by Hiramani, Ahmedabad Arrows, owned by Trivikrama Productions, Karnavati Kings, owned by The Address, Heritage City Titans, owned by Crest Data, Narmada Navigators, owned by Shanti Spintex, and Gandhinagar Lions, owned by Landmark.
Former Ranji Captain Kirat Damani is also a part of the Organising Committee of the league, adding his expertise and experience to ensure a smooth and competitive tournament. The champions of the league will walk away with a prize money of 5,00,000, while the runners-up will receive 2,50,000.
