Cristiano Ronaldo scores twice as Al Nassr defeat Al Khaleej 3-1 to advance to Kings’s Cup final

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a thrilling King Cup of Champions semifinal match, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane shined as Al Nassr secured a 3-1 victory over Al Khaleej at the Al-Awwal Stadium in Riyadh.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 17th minute after a defensive error from Al Khaleej allowed him to slot the ball into an empty net. Mane extended the lead with a calmly taken penalty in the 37th minute, giving Al Nassr a comfortable advantage going into halftime.

Despite making substitutions, Al Khaleej struggled to contain Al Nassr’s attacking prowess, with Ronaldo adding a second goal in the 57th minute. The Al Khaleej goalkeeper, Sehic, put in a valiant effort with nine saves to keep his team in the game.

However, Al Khaleej’s hopes took a hit when Al Khabrani was forced off the pitch due to injury, leaving them with 10 men for the remainder of the match. They managed to pull one back through Al-Torais in the 82nd minute, but it was too little, too late as Al Nassr held on for the win.

With this victory, Al Nassr booked their spot in the final where they will face Al Hilal on May 31. The stage is set for an exciting showdown between the two Saudi giants as they battle for the King Cup of Champions title.
