Crystal’s Weekly Menu Plan with $118 Kroger Delivery Order

Last week, I decided to try something different and get my groceries delivered using Kroger Boost. However, my last-minute order left me with no available delivery slots from the Kroger blue truck, so I had to opt for Instacart instead.

With Kroger Boost, you pay a yearly fee for free delivery, but the fulfillment can be done by either Kroger Delivery or Instacart. I chose Instacart and ended up regretting it. While I paid a $10 tip for the convenience, many of the items I ordered were marked as “out of stock” and didn’t arrive. This was a stark contrast to my usual experience with the Kroger delivery truck.

Despite missing out on the flash sales and feeling like the shopper was unfamiliar with the store, I did appreciate the quick delivery. However, the overall experience left me disappointed and wishing I had ordered earlier in the week to secure a Kroger delivery slot.

In terms of what I ate for dinner that week, it included scrambled eggs, sausage with potatoes and sweet potatoes, a fend-for-yourself night, chicken with steamed veggies and tater tots, leftovers with marinated chicken and mashed potatoes, and homemade French bread. I also took advantage of deals on Tyson chicken and cereal during my grocery order, but ultimately spent $118.27 including tax and tip.
