CyberArk introduces UAE-based Identity Security Platform to comply with data sovereignty regulations – Intelligent CIO Middle East

Reading Time: < 1 minute

CyberArk, a leading identity security company, has unveiled its new CyberArk Identity Security Platform services hosted from a UAE-based data center. This move aims to enhance CyberArk’s support for data sovereignty requirements in key industries in the region, demonstrating the company’s dedication to helping UAE organizations defend against escalating attacks on human and machine identities.

With the UAE’s emphasis on fostering a secure digital environment, the ability to store data locally is crucial for technology providers. By offering locally-hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) components, CyberArk enables organizations to manage, process, and store data – including credentials – within the UAE. This empowers organizations to align their data protection compliance strategy with local regulations and preferences.

Tom Lowndes, Director, Middle East at CyberArk, emphasized the significance of addressing privileged access threats, stating, “The compromise and abuse of privileged and sensitive access is the most significant identity security threat that organizations face today.” The CyberArk Identity Security Platform provides scalable risk reduction and simplifies security investments, allowing cybersecurity teams to secure human and machine identities effectively.

Research by CyberArk indicates that nearly all organizations worldwide anticipate identity-related compromises in the next year, largely due to digital transformation initiatives like cloud adoption and hybrid working practices. CyberArk’s comprehensive Identity Security Platform caters to various industries in the UAE, including financial services, telecommunications, energy sectors, and cloud-native businesses.

By offering solutions for workforce and customer access, endpoint privilege security, privileged access management, secrets management, cloud privilege security, and identity management, CyberArk enables organizations to implement Zero Trust and enforce least privilege principles. This initiative underscores CyberArk’s commitment to helping UAE organizations achieve their identity security goals in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
