The Arizona Diamondbacks stunned the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 6-0 victory on Wednesday night, marking their first series win at Dodger Stadium since 2018. Ryne Nelson led the charge with five shutout innings, while Christian Walker and Ketel Marte added some offensive firepower with home runs.

Nelson, who took over from opener Brandon Hughes, showcased his pitching prowess by allowing just five hits, striking out five, and walking three. The Dodgers’ star trio of Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman struggled at the plate, going a combined 2 of 11 with three strikeouts.

The Diamondbacks’ Corbin Carroll made a highlight-reel play with a two-strike triple in the fifth inning, scoring on a wild pitch by Tyler Glasnow. Walker continued his dominance over the Dodgers with a solo shot in the sixth, while Marte extended his hitting streak to 21 games with a home run in the eighth.

Manager Torey Luvollo praised his team’s execution and focus, emphasizing the importance of not taking anything for granted. The Dodgers, who had been on a hot streak, were shut out for the third time this season and left multiple runners on base throughout the game.

The victory was a significant milestone for the Diamondbacks, who last won a series in Los Angeles in 2018. With the win, Arizona looks to build momentum as they head into a home series against the Miami Marlins, while the Dodgers will regroup as they prepare to face the Cincinnati Reds.
