Dallas Stars take 2-1 series lead over Edmonton Oilers in NHL Western Conference Final schedule

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a thrilling Game 3 of the NHL’s Western Conference Final, the Dallas Stars’ Jason Robertson ended his 10-game goal drought in spectacular fashion by scoring a hat trick against the Edmonton Oilers. The Stars secured a 5-3 victory and now hold a 2-1 series lead.

Robertson’s scoring spree began in the second period when the Stars were trailing 2-0. He received a pass from Roope Hintz and fired a laser shot past Oilers’ goaltender Stuart Skinner to put Dallas on the board. Just 2:30 later, Robertson tied the game with a strong backhand goal.

The star forward completed his hat trick in the third period with a goal that proved to be the game-winner. With the score tied at 3, Robertson found himself in a prime scoring position and capitalized on a bad-angle shot that bounced off Skinner and into the net.

Before Robertson’s heroics, the Oilers had taken a 2-0 lead in the first period, thanks to a goal and an assist from Connor McDavid. However, the Stars dominated the second period, outshooting the Oilers 16-7 and scoring three consecutive goals to take the lead.

With Wyatt Johnston adding his eighth goal of the playoffs and Hintz contributing two assists in his return from injury, the Stars showcased their depth and resilience in Game 3. The series continues with Game 4 on Wednesday, May 29, as both teams battle for a spot in the Stanley Cup Final. Stay tuned for more updates and highlights as the Stars and Oilers clash in the Western Conference Final.
