Bay College Norse Baseball Players Receive All-Conference Honors
ESCANABA – The MCCAA recently announced the All-Conference Teams for the 2024 season, and six Bay College Norse baseball players were recognized for their outstanding performances. Among them, Zach Gibson and Lorenzo Feliciano stood out by being named to the prestigious All-MCCAA Team.
Gibson, a freshman from Nassau, Bahamas, had an impressive season, earning a spot on the MCCAA Northern Conference First Team and the Northern Conference All-Freshman Team. He finished the season with a .358 batting average, .447 on-base percentage, and .642 slugging percentage. Gibson tied for the team lead in hits, led in home runs, runs scored, and RBI.
Feliciano, also a freshman, hailing from Deerfield Beach, FL, joined Gibson on the Northern Conference First Team and All-Freshman Team. He hit .327 for the Norse, stole 11 bases, and was a key player in the team’s pitching rotation, finishing with a 5-3 record and impressive stats.
Additionally, George Cooper from Eltham, Australia, was selected for the Northern Conference Second Team and the All-Freshman Team. Cooper showcased his skills both at the plate and on the mound, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
The Norse also had three players named to the Northern Conference Honorable Mention list, including Josh Blake, Tyler Darmogray, and Zac Gomersall. Each player demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication throughout the season, making valuable contributions to the team’s overall performance.
