PFA Sports Opens State-of-the-Art Baseball Training Facility in Van Nuys

The grand opening of PFA Sports’ new baseball training facility in Van Nuys was a star-studded event, with MLB pitchers Tyler Wells and Bailey Falter in attendance. Both pitchers have trained with PFA owner Dave Coggin, who has developed a unique system focused on longevity in the game.

Coggin and his coaching staff have brought their philosophy to the San Fernando Valley with the opening of the new facility, the first of its kind in the area. They have already started working with players from top high schools in the area to help extend their playing careers.

The 13,000 square foot facility features cutting-edge technology, including markerless motion capture for pitching, a hitting area, and a large strength training component. It also includes a classroom area for players enrolled in online learning.

Players of all ages and positions are welcome at the facility, with pitchers as young as 10 years old already working on improving their velocity. Coggin believes that starting training at a young age can help prevent injuries later on in a player’s career.

With over 200 pitchers and 100 hitters visiting the Montclair facility each week, Coggin hopes to see similar numbers in Van Nuys. The facility has already attracted players from multiple high schools and colleges in the area, with players praising the top-notch equipment and coaching.

For eighth-grade travel ball player Lukas Magna, the goal is clear: “I want to play as long as possible. Ideally, I want to play in the MLB. I want to pitch and I feel like Dave’s really helping me get there.” With the opening of the new facility, players like Magna have access to the resources and coaching they need to reach their full potential in the game.
