New Delhi [India], May 14: Delhi Capitals’ young batter Tristan Stubbs ended his breakout Indian Premier League (IPL) season on a high note with a stellar performance against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Stubbs showcased his talent by smashing an unbeaten 57* off just 25 balls, including three fours and four sixes. He also proved his worth with the ball, taking a crucial wicket of Ayush Badoni.

Throughout the season, Stubbs has been a standout performer for DC, scoring 378 runs in 13 innings at an impressive average of 54.00 and a strike rate of 190.90, with three half-centuries to his name. His best score of 71* highlights his potential as a top-order batsman.

Not only has Stubbs excelled with the bat, but he has also made an impact in the death overs, scoring a whopping 252 runs at a strike rate of 262.5 in overs 16-20, making him the highest run-scorer in that phase this season.

In the match against LSG, DC posted a challenging total of 208/4, thanks to Stubbs’ explosive innings and Abhishek Porel’s fifty. Despite a valiant effort from LSG’s Nicholas Pooran and Arshad Khan, DC’s bowlers, led by Ishant Sharma, sealed the victory for their team.
