Simran Sehgal, a mental health counselor, faced a challenging period in her life due to her weight gain. Working night shifts, poor sleep habits, and a diet filled with junk food led to a significant increase in her weight. The situation became alarming when she missed her menstrual cycle for six months, prompting her to seek medical advice.

Living in New Delhi, Simran had struggled with her weight for years, hovering around 77 to 85 kilograms. As a self-proclaimed Punjabi foodie, she found it difficult to make the necessary changes to her diet and lifestyle. However, after her doctor’s warning, she decided to take action and embark on a weight loss journey.

Simran made significant changes to her diet, cutting out rice, sugar, and bakery products, and focusing on portion control. Her meals consisted of fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, helping her to manage her cravings and stay on track with her weight loss goals.

In addition to her dietary changes, Simran also committed to a rigorous exercise routine. Despite the challenges of working night shifts, she made time for strength training six days a week, along with cardio sessions on the treadmill. Her dedication paid off as she started to see results, not just in terms of weight loss, but also in improved health markers like normal thyroid and sugar levels, and regular menstrual cycles.

Simran’s transformation serves as a testament to the power of consistency and determination in achieving fitness goals. She now emphasizes the importance of focusing on feeling good from the inside out, and believes that fitness is a lifelong journey towards strength and well-being.
