Deputy Prime Minister Calls for Coordination of TVET and Entrepreneur Development Councils to Drive Rapid Development

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced plans to coordinate the efforts of the National TVET council and the National Entrepreneur Development Council to boost the development of the technopreneur sector in Malaysia. As chairman of both councils, Ahmad Zahid aims to leverage the knowledge and expertise of both entities to drive innovation and economic progress in the country.

Speaking at the TVET@KKDW 2023 Technopreneur Awards ceremony, Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of creating a conducive ecosystem for technopreneurs to thrive. He highlighted the potential job opportunities and added value that a successful National Technpreneurial Agenda could bring to Malaysians.

The awards ceremony recognized the achievements of TVET institutions, teachers, students, and graduates who have excelled in technology-based entrepreneurship. Ahmad Zahid underscored the need for closer collaboration between the TVET entrepreneur network, institutions, and industries to foster innovation and competitiveness in the business landscape.

He encouraged TVET institutions to provide opportunities for teachers to upskill and reskill in the technopreneurial field, urging them to become role models for future technopreneurs.
