Dick’s Sporting Goods Scores Partnership Deals with Boston Celtics and Red Sox

Dick’s Sporting Goods has recently announced a new partnership deal with two iconic Boston sports teams, the Celtics and the Red Sox. This multi-year agreement will see Dick’s become the official sporting goods retail partner for both teams, allowing them to use the teams’ intellectual property rights in their Boston store and on their websites.

The partnership comes on the heels of Dick’s opening a new 100,000 square-foot House of Sport store in Boston’s Prudential Center, featuring unique in-store experiences like a climbing wall, golf bays, and a HitTrax multi-sport cage. The Dick’s House of Sport logo will also be prominently displayed in Boston’s TD Garden area and Fenway Park during select games.

Mark Rooks, Dick’s Sporting Goods’ vice president of creative, sponsorships, and entertainment, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Having two legendary Boston sports franchises integrated in what we are doing at House of Sport at Prudential Center and becoming the Official Sporting Goods Retail Partner of both teams makes so much sense and is a huge thrill.”

As part of the partnership, Dick’s will provide fan access to tickets and experiences with both teams, including sponsoring free tickets for members of the Boston Red Sox’s Kid Nation and supporting the Boston Celtics’ Junior Celtics Academy All Girls Showcases.

Executives from both the Red Sox and Celtics expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Dick’s commitment to community-level sports and recreation.

This deal is just the latest in Dick’s Sporting Goods’ efforts to expand its connections with iconic brands and organizations in the sports world. The company recently reported strong sales and earnings figures, signaling positive momentum as they continue to grow and innovate in the sporting goods industry.
