Sean “Diddy” Combs Admits to Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend in 2016, Issues Apology

In a shocking turn of events, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a hotel hallway back in 2016. The admission comes after CNN released a disturbing video of the attack, showing Combs physically assaulting the R&B singer, who was his protege and longtime girlfriend at the time.

In a video apology posted on Instagram and Facebook, Combs expressed deep remorse for his actions, stating, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.” The footage shows Combs wearing only a white towel, punching, kicking, shoving, and dragging his ex-girlfriend, as well as throwing a vase in her direction.

The victim, known as Cassandra Ventura or Cassie, had previously sued Combs in November for years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. The lawsuit was settled the next day, but it sparked further legal action against Combs, including a federal criminal sex-trafficking investigation that led to raids on his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.

Despite denying the allegations in the lawsuits, Combs finally addressed the newly emerged video in his apology, stating, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.” He also revealed that he sought professional help through therapy and rehab, asking for God’s mercy and grace.

While Combs is not seeking forgiveness, he is committed to becoming a better man each day. The public reaction to his apology remains to be seen, but this revelation has certainly sparked a conversation about domestic violence and accountability in the entertainment industry.
